Our services include, but are not limited to:
FULL PRODUCTION
Same Sky is dedicated to creating an environment where each artist has the space, time and equipment necessary to truly create a lasting impression of their sound and talents. To ensure this we work on a flat rate per track, rather then traditional hourly studio agreements. This flat rate is “All In”, meaning it includes our work as producers, engineers and performers, the full use of our studio and ALL it’s equipment as well as our additional facilities such as our conference room, green room, and our 800 sq ft terrace overlooking downtown Austin.
|
These facilities and this freedom from “looking at the clock” allow our artists to experience comfort and creativity while providing all the necessities and amenities for each group and its staff to conduct business and create music. Please contact us for more information on how Same Sky can meet your specific needs. |

Messier collaborated with James Speer and T Double, producing the single “Set The Tone” which is featured on Austin Music Compilation Vol. 10, released in Feb 2011. David Messier co-hosts a weekly radio show with friend and producer Andre Cantave called “Same Sky Radio” which focuses on emerging artists from around the globe and can be heard on Bunk Radio. David also owns and operates L’Austin Space, LLC a “social intelligence company” focused on bringing musicians and artists together in a multi-media format. He also produces Same Sky TV, a web-based puppet show featuring Austin’s finest talent.
Messier’s community involvement has included fund raising and production for The Make A Wish Foundation, Austin Pride and The Anti Defamation League. In Late 2009 Messier began more experimental compositions in electronic and organic meditation music and began composing “Ich Und Du”, a suite based on the philosophy of Martin Buber. David Messier currently resides in Austin, TX.
An artist said of working with David:
“Our lives may have inspired the songs, but David was the muse for the record itself. At every stage of recording, he generated an electric environment positively clipping with creative energy. He dove in during pre-production and suggested new arrangements that vamped the impact of each tune way up. When we turned our attention to individual parts, David's innovation and downright wackiness was so boundless that we were able to imagine sounds and melodies beyond the parts we had previously been so attached to. The results were often surprising, always fun, and never less than beautiful.” -Mackenzie Outlund “This Blue Heaven”

Andre Cantave - Assistant Producer/Engineer
I have spent the majority of my life listening to, writing and playing music. I now do all these things at Same Sky everyday as the engineer, mixer and editor. I’ve produced and engineered more records than I can recall and am just a Music Junky! My mantra in production is “strive to be honest and interesting”.
I am influenced by George Martin, Brian Eno, Ken Scott, T Bone Burnett, The Flaming Lips and many other creative bastards.
